"“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” (Galatians 2:20, NIV)
Paul’s words in Galatians reflect the transformation that comes when we truly surrender our lives to Christ. When we place our faith in Jesus, we are united with Him in His death and resurrection. This new life is no longer ours to control but is lived by faith in the One who loved us so deeply that He gave His life for us.
Lent invites us to reflect on how we live by faith. Are we relying on Christ to lead us, or are we still trying to control our own lives? Living by faith means trusting that God’s plan is better than our own and choosing to follow His lead. It’s a daily decision to surrender and allow His love to shape our actions and attitudes.
Challenge: How can you live more fully by faith in the One who loved you today? In what areas of your life is God calling you to surrender more fully to Him?
Prayer: Lord, thank You for loving me and giving Yourself for me. Help me to live by faith in You daily, surrendering my plans and trusting Your perfect will. Amen."
