There is nothing that soothes a child’s heart more than knowing that his mother is by his side. I remember that as a child, some nights I would wake up to the sound of thunder as a storm started, and I would usually run into my parents’ room and crawl under the covers next to them and hold my mother’s hand. And something that might be strange is that many times the terror would quickly turn into a rather pleasant sensation.
