"“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33, NIV)

Jesus knew that life would bring struggles, challenges, and suffering. He did not promise an easy road, but He did promise peace—a peace that transcends our circum- stances. In the midst of trial, we can find comfort in knowing that Jesus has already overcome the world. His victory over sin, death, and suffering offers us peace that re- mains, even when life feels overwhelming.

Lent calls us to reflect on the suffering Christ endured for us and to remember that, because of Him, we are never without hope. Our troubles are temporary, but the peace we find in Christ is eternal. He is with us, strengthening us, and offering a peace that the world cannot give.

Challenge: In the face of your current struggles, where can you choose to rest in Christ’s peace today?

Prayer: Lord, thank You for the peace You offer, even in the midst of suffering. Help me to trust in Your victory and find rest in Your presence, no matter the troubles I face.
Amen."
